Mischief Makers is a Maker Space in the Upper Beaches area of Toronto that focuses on Art, STEM, and DIY programming for kids, teens, and adults. Our facility provides an environment where makers can explore, learn, and create, while moving toward a zero-waste lifestyle. We strongly believe that we can build a better world through learning to make or repair things yourself, rather than through consumption. We run a number of maker workshops for teens, adults, and families, as well as clubs, and an after-school program.

We are redefining “mischief” as an act of chaotic positive creativity. We’re not afraid to do things differently here and work to bring a little brightness and whimsy through art, craft, and STEM.

    Jenna - The Boss (She/They)

    Jenna - The Boss (pronounced ‘the baws - but wizard is also acceptable)

    Hello! Lovely to meet you, I’m Jenna!

    The creative wizard behind Mischief Makers, your Jax-of-all-trade here! I will be one of the teachers and guides into the wonderful world of Art, Costuming, Film, Writing, Drama and D&D!

    My job is to be a positive role model who inspires and creates a safe space for anyone who walks through our doors. To challenge and push the boundaries of our creative selves.

    My background is a mishmash of film/tv, cosplay & art, marketing and design (just to name a few). I’m forever learning and dipping my toes into new creative adventures.

  • Alex - The Maker (He/They)

    To think, doodles and model trains would lead to a life of making! Alex is a Latinx maker based in Toronto, fascinated by the stories an artifact can tell.

    From cosplayer to fabricator, Alex has always been creating. He grew up doodling, helping out his Dad with his model trains, teaching himself to sew, and making chainmail. As he got older he started to cosplay. After graduating OCADU with his bachelor of design (majoring in Illustration) he made a pivot to film and television. When he’s not making, he’s probably building model kits, roller-blading, or watching anime.

    This is your go-to person for creative problem solving, teaching you how to use your tools, and maybe even making you laugh (at least, he thinks he’s funny).

  • Tyler - The Science Guy (He/Him)

    The self proclaimed expert on all things Transformers, Ty the Science Guy is here to expand your brain into the cool weird world of Science and Tech.

    With over 20+ years of engineering experience and being a nerdy tinkerer, Tyler is your go-to Mischief Maker to help with anything tech! If he doesn’t know it…he’ll teach himself to teach you!

    Tyler will be teaching our Robotics/Engineering programs and Microscope classes in the near future. Pre-register today!

  • Bowie - The Doge (Employee of the Month)

    Boof! I’m Bowie the shop dog!

    When you walk into the shop expect to be greeted and wiggled at by me! I’m an 8yr old English Lab who loves to play fetch, give lots of kisses and shows off …for treats of course!

    Unfortunately these paws only know how to make messes and slobber, but I’ll happily be your new bestfriend and keep you company while you make cool stuff here at the shop!
